The paper considers approaches to integrating autonomous harvesters and forwarders into the timber industry system. It is shown that simple use of GPS navigation without adaptive grip control leads to low positioning accuracy and damage to standing trees. unmanned forwarders, autonomous harvesters, logging, automation of control, computer vision, LIDAR, forest robotics %J MODERN TECHNOLOGIES AND SYSTEMS IN TRANSPORT: PROBLEMS AND PROSPECTS %D 2026 %P 5 %I FSBE Institution of Higher Education Voronezh State University of Forestry and Technologies named after G.F.
