The article considers the possibility of using automated systems and technologies in the forestry industry, which can increase efficiency, reduce surpluses and optimize costs. Such systems include unmanned vehicles and aircraft, monitoring and forecasting systems, as well as specialized information systems. Using the example of ready-made solutions in the world and the Russian Federation, the effectiveness and prospects of the development and implementation of various technologies are demonstrated. The advantages obtained during the transition of the forestry industry to full or partial automation are highlighted.
