Abstract (English):
This article is devoted to the analysis of the production of biodegradable plastic in the world and is aimed at identifying the main problems and prospects of this industry in the context of sustainable development in the Russian Federation. As a result, despite the availability of scientific developments and investment projects, the production of biodegradable plastic in Russia is in its infancy. Successful development requires an integrated approach that will include government support, infrastructure development, and research to improve production technologies.
