Abstract (English)

Challenges of the XX-XXI centuries. led to serious socio-demographic changes and actualized the development of new mechanisms for the preservation and development of the demographic potential of countries and regions, ensuring their demographic security. In these conditions, constructive interaction and deepening cooperation between scientists, representatives of government authorities, the public, the entire expert community is an integral part of a comprehensive solution to socio-demographic problems. The collection contains materials from the meetings of the International Demographic Forum, which was attended by researchers from Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Kazakhstan, the Republic of Serbia, Donetsk People's Republic, Luhansk People's Republic, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Japan. At the International Demographic Forum, modern problems of the demographic development of Russia and the countries of the world, long-term trends in the dynamics of the main processes that form it: fertility, mortality, migration, evolution of the size and sex and age structure of the population, the possible impact of demographic processes on socio-economic development in the context of social - economic, environmental, scientific and educational, investment and innovative development in the globalizing world; there was a search for ways to solve the problems of demographic, social, ethnocultural development of the regions of Russia and countries of the world to improve the quality and standard of living of the population; the assessment of the prospects of various measures of demographic policy from the point of view of overcoming the demographic crisis has been carried out. One of the key issues was the actualization of the development of tools and mechanisms for identifying priority areas of modern research in the field of demography, geodemography and population geography, as well as related sciences. The collection is recommended for scientists, specialists, practitioners, graduate students, undergraduates and everyone interested in the problems of demography, geodemography, population geography and related problems of social development of society.
