The article describes the strategic tasks of the development of the road transport related to changing the extensive development mode of the industry and the creation of a low-carbon transformation. Directions for ensuring energy conservationand emission reductionof the transport system have been identified. The possibilities of an intelligent transport system and modern information technologies to solve the above problems are determined. The article is written in English.
