The article is devoted to the study of the digitalization of financial markets and its components. The features of digitalization, the nuances of this process and its problems are considered. The purpose of the data presented in this paper is aimed at understanding the advantages and problems of digitalization of financial markets. The article analyzes trends in the availability of financial services for the Russian population and indicators of fraudsters' activity. Based on statistical data from official sources, the percentage growth rates of remote accounts of individuals and the dynamics of stolen funds are presented. In conclusion, it is said about the importance of such a process as digitalization. The necessity of state intervention in this process for its correct operation is emphasized
