This article discusses the problems of legal regulation in the field of atmospheric air. The main attention is paid to the analysis of legislation regulating the use of atmospheric air, emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere, identification of its shortcomings and possible ways to improve them. The article also addresses the issue of ownership of the use of air, regulation of air intake for the technological needs of the state. Organizational measures within the framework of the federal Clean Air project, implemented in 41 regions of the country, are presented. This project is aimed at reducing pollutants that have a negative impact on the environment and improving the environmental situation and public health. Within its framework, large-scale measures are being carried out to reduce emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere, modernize industrial enterprises and increase energy efficiency.
