The article substantiates the need to manage production inventories at an enterprise, and proposes a methodology for optimizing production resources in relation to furniture enterprises by using a rationing mechanism. The inventory structure was analyzed and production and procurement planning were adjusted in accordance with changes in the market and consumer needs. In order to improve the structure of industrial inventories and increase the solvency of the enterprise, the volumes of inventories were adjusted in accordance with the recommendations obtained as a result of the ABC analysis. In addition, attention is paid to optimizing the inventory management process to avoid excesses and shortages in the future.
