The review presents unmanned aerial vehicles and types of payloads for forestry tasks, including aerial photography and monitoring. Examples of remote sensing materials for assessing object characteristics are discussed. Application of the data to analyze the quality, quantity, and metric parameters of the objects being imaged is discussed. Emphasis is placed on the potential of unmanned aerial systems for effective forest resource management.
