This article is relevant in the context of modern environmental problems. The economy is closely linked to climate change, as environmental factors can affect the economic stability and development of a country. New successful projects, such as the creation of carbon landfills and farms, are becoming the engine of environmental progress in the world. The importance and necessity of monitoring and accurate measurement of greenhouse gas fluxes using remote technologies in order to manage the carbon cycle is emphasized. The actual and planned results of the creation of carbon polygons on the territory of the Russian Federation are presented. In conclusion, the conclusion is made about the importance of carbon landfills and farms as tools in the fight against climate change.
