Over the past six years, the world has actively increased interest in the climate agenda. This is due to various negative consequences of climate warming, namely droughts, fires, floods, tsunamis and other natural disasters. The current situation forces the world community to look for ways to adapt and mitigate the effects of climate impact. One of their suitable options is to use the natural potential in the form of the implementation of natural and climatic initiatives. This practice is widely used by Asian and BRICS countries in land use, agriculture and forestry. The article reveals the features of the implementation of natural and climatic initiatives using insufficiently demanded in national practice, but potentially powerful natural resource in the form of disturbed lands.
