An analysis of the main characteristics and operating principle of the plate heat exchanger of the reactor cooling system was carried out. Options for solving the problem of choosing the optimal layout of the heat exchanger are presented. The main parameters that determine its effectiveness are considered. Particular attention is paid to optimizing the geometry of the plates to achieve maximum heat transfer. The need to ensure rapid efficient heat transfer in emergency situations and maintain optimal temperature in the reactor facility is also noted.
