The article describes the forms and methods of analyzing complex terrain in design. The impact of complex terrain analysis on the design and construction process. The tasks of terrain analysis and the sequence of its study are considered, morphometric methods of terrain analysis, their features, tools and sequence of actions are presented. Examples of the application of the above methods of analysis are considered on the example of the coastal zone of the Voronezh reservoir.
