Abstract (English):
In a changing climate, special attention should be paid to the state of glaciers, which are the beginning of hundreds of mountain rivers in the North Caucasus. The melting of glaciers affects many processes, one of them is the fullness of mountain rivers. With an increase in the fullness of mountain rivers, combined with the factor of heavy rains, irreversible consequences occur in the form of washing away the slopes of the banks by bubbling mountain rivers, followed by their collapse.

Keywords:
mountain rivers, water erosion, North Caucasus, protective measures, destruction of coastal slopes
