The article reveals the history of garden non-commercial partnerships (GNCP) from their origin to the popularity of living in dachas. The main stages of the development of the GNCP, laws and documents contributing to the approval and expansion of the country economy are highlighted. The results of the study determining the preferences of Russians in relation to summer holidays, as well as the rating of cities where the most active and enthusiastic summer residents live, are considered.
