The article discusses current trends in the design of the modern landscape of urban recreation areas, modern approaches to landscape design, ranging from basic to innovative methods. Special attention is paid to environmental friendliness and the use of new technologies in creating unique and comfortable urban spaces for recreation of residents of modern megacities. The article also highlights the role of plants and aquatic elements in the formation of natural aesthetics and a calm atmosphere in an urban environment. The actual landscape design of urban recreation areas is of great importance for a comfortable stay, should take into account the conservation of nature and the rational use of resources.
