Common hazel (Corylus avellana L.) is a valuable understory, as a soil-improving breed and as an oilseed nut crop. The aim of the study was to identify the share of common hazel with other forest-forming species in different types of forest growing conditions in the Suburban forestry of the Voronezh region and the New Siberian forestry of the Belgorod region. The created system of sample areas ensures the representativeness of the sample and allows us to take into account the peculiarities of the growth of common hazel with other understory species.
