Abstract (English):
The article presents methods for reducing the thermal stress of exhaust valves in piston engines by regulating the contact thermal resistance (CTR) in the "valve face - seat" assembly. Experimental studies have confirmed that applying galvanic coatings, such as cadmium and copper, to the valve contact surfaces reduces temperature gradients and decreases thermal stress. This extends the service life of the valves, which is particularly important for diesel engines operating under harsh conditions. The proposed technology can be effectively implemented both at valve manufacturing facilities and in automotive service centers.
