The paper considers the role of car quality as a demand-determining parameter. The reasons for the high cost and duration of physical testing of automobiles are given. It is suggested to use the concept of digital twin for cheaper and faster development. The application of parameterization and in-context design is considered on the example of the work of the engineering and racing team of Voronezh STU.
