Ostrovskoe forestry of the Kostroma region is the base enterprise of the Kostroma (Central European) forestry experimental station. The article gives a general description of the scientific and practical activities of the experimental station. Forest crops are created by sowing and planting over an area of up to a thousand hectares per year. The forest seed base is developing in the direction of selecting plus trees and plantings, establishing forest seed plots and plantations, and creating test crops.
