This article presents an analysis of the physical and mechanical properties of wood. The use of wood as a structural material is due to its ability to withstand active forces, that is, its mechanical properties. The values of the mechanical properties of wood can be determined using the following types of tests: tension, bending, compression and others. This paper presents the Brinell method demonstrating the hardness of wood depending on the type of wood. The way wood looks externally, its smell and thermal conductivity, all of this relates to physical properties.
