The possibility of determining the order of events to improve the level of road safety is considered using the example of pedestrian traffic arrangement in cities and towns. It is proposed to rank the elements of arrangement by risk level. The methodology is based on the theory of fuzzy sets and expert assessment. The given example shows that the greatest risk of an emergency situation is caused by the presence of unregulated pedestrian crossings on streets with 6-lane carriageways.
