The task of developing and implementing a web service for digitizing archival geological maps using computer vision algorithms is investigated. Modern methods of digitization and vectorization of geological maps are analyzed. The algorithms that are most suitable for the tasks of recognizing symbols, numbers and contours on geological maps have been selected. The architecture of the web service has been developed, including modules for user authentication, downloading and storing maps, their analysis and vectorization, as well as a user interface.
