This article examines one of the most important environmental problems – air pollution in modern cities, using the example of Voronezh. The focus is on the impact of road transport on air quality, which poses a serious threat to both public health and the city's ecosystem. Road transport is one of the main sources of air pollution, which accounts for up to 70% of harmful emissions in Voronezh. These statistics indicate a high density of vehicles in the region, where 427 vehicles are registered per 1,000 inhabitants. The volume of emissions of pollutants into the atmosphere is 169.4 thousand tons. This leads to the main idea: in order to preserve the ecological balance in urban conditions, it is necessary to take into account the impact of motor transport and actively engage in landscaping and rehabilitation of green areas.
