The work evaluates the factors influencing the sustainability and productivity of plantings. It has been revealed that the causes of death and weakening of stands are forest diseases, insect damage, non-pathogenic factors, adverse weather and soil-climatic factors, anthropogenic factors, forest fires, animal damage. The methods of maintaining the stability of plantings of various conditions are reflected. The sanitary and health-improving measures carried out in weakened and drying plantings are considered, and practical recommendations for increasing the stability of plantings are also developed.
