Abstract (English):
This work is devoted to the role of nature reserves in preserving natural wealth and biodiversity. Particular attention is paid to the Voronezh State Biosphere Reserve, one of the oldest and most significant in Russia. The article examines the historical stages of its creation, the main areas of activity, including protection, scientific research and environmental education. It also covers modern measures to preserve rare species of animals and plants, their monitoring and educational work. The work emphasizes the importance of nature reserves for ensuring ecological balance, scientific research and the formation of environmental culture among the population. This approach allows not only to preserve unique ecosystems, but also to develop environmental awareness in future generations.
