This article discusses the issues of processing low-quality wood by mechanical, chemical and thermal methods. Technologies for the use of NKD and wood waste in the production of chipboard, as a building material, are proposed. In the manufacture of wood-composite building materials based on cement binder. A technology for producing fuel briquettes and fuel pellets has also been proposed. Attention was focused in terms of the environmental impact on the ecosystem, and the requirements of sustainable forest management were taken into account. Recommendations are given for the creation of sites for the production of various types of materials (arbolite, phybloite, fuel pellets, fuel briquettes) in the conditions of woodworking enterprises, this will allow not only to use the obtained materials in the company's own needs, but also to achieve an economic effect from their sale.
