Minimization of production waste at forestry enterprises remains an urgent problem. One of the equipment used for sawing wood is circular sawing machines, the working element of which is a circular saw. The amount of waste is affected by the geometric parameters of the saw, and its productivity is affected by its kinematic and dynamic parameters. The article shows the influence of geometric parameters on the cutting force and the volume of waste, as well as the influence of kinematic parameters on the cutting speed and productivity, taking into account the reliability of the equipment.
