The analysis of existing information systems used in educational institutions for automating attendance recording processes and optimizing teachers’ work schedules is conducted. Current systems’ drawbacks, such as insufficient automation and excessive manual labor, are identified. An improved information system based on proximity card readers is proposed to minimize teachers’ manual efforts. The database model is developed using the entity-relationship approach, enabling real-time attendance tracking. This solution demonstrates high efficiency and cost-effectiveness, significantly enhancing the overall productivity and effectiveness of the educational process.
