The article is devoted to the analysis of Nikolai Berdyaev's philosophical views on the nature of war. The interpretation of war as a metaphysical phenomenon related to human freedom, the problem of evil and the historical process is considered. N. Berdyaev rejects simplified interpretations of war as an exclusively political or social phenomenon, offering instead a deep existential-religious analysis. The work explores key aspects of his philosophy: war in the context of history, its connection with spiritual transformation. Special attention is paid to the relevance of N. Berdyaev's ideas for understanding modern conflicts.
