The article examines the use of Internet of Things technologies in forestry in Russia. It describes modern IoT devices for monitoring the condition of trees and forests, collecting data on temperature, humidity and other environmental parameters. It presents domestic developments, including the Smart Forest system and the Forest Watch hardware and software complex. It highlights the use of IoT technologies to detect fires, prevent illegal logging and optimize logging processes. It demonstrates the role of artificial intelligence and digital twins in forest resource management. It shows how the Internet of Things contributes to the sustainable development of the forest complex, ensuring a balance between economic activity and the preservation of natural ecosystems.
