Abstract (English):
The paper provides a comprehensive analysis of modern digital technologies used to enhance the sustainability and environmental safety of Russia’s forest sector. Key tools such as satellite monitoring, IoT sensors, blockchain, and GIS systems are examined. Data from Rosleskhoz and regional case studies demonstrate that technology implementation reduced illegal logging by 40–45%, while drone usage decreased pest damage by 35–50%. Systemic challenges include infrastructure gaps and funding shortages. Solutions involve state programs and international cooperation.
