The article summarizes the results of a large-scale digital transformation of the forestry complex in Russia, which promises revolutionary changes in the management, monitoring and protection of forest resources. An important step will be the launch of the Federal State Information System of the Forestry Complex (FGIS LC) in 2025, which will ensure the integration of advanced technologies such as remote sensing, AI and blockchain. The article emphasizes integrated pest detection systems using ultrasound and optical methods for the early detection of threats to the ecosystem. The main focus is on the problems of unauthorized logging, detection of forest fires and threats to forest health, the consequences of pest activity and technological solutions aimed at their timely detection. The use of data from satellites and drones, as well as automation of management and the use of big data will contribute to increasing the efficiency and sustainability of forestry, which is critical for both the ecology and economic interests of the country.
