Abstract (English):
The paper considers two areas of humanity – the chemical and space industries. In the chemical field, we will learn about new composites based on wood and why they are so unique in their use, and in the space field about the first "flight" of wood, which was a discovery in this field. Modern developments of scientific activity of engineers are considered.
