Abstract (English):
This article examines the prospects of using tree bark as a basis for creating environmentally safe and effective protective and decorative coatings for wood. The relevance of the research related to the need for rational use of forest resources and the development of biodegradable materials is substantiated. An overview of existing technologies for processing bark and its use in various industries is presented. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the chemical composition of the crust, its physico-mechanical properties and the possibility of modification to give the necessary characteristics.
