The relevance of the study is due to the fact that in order to preserve the human habitat and not deplete the use of resources, it is necessary to ensure environmental protection. Due to the growing human economic activity, harmful emissions pollute the soil, water and air, which negatively affects human health. Therefore, the development of measures to prevent destruction and protect the environment requires constant study and application of scientific methods. An important role in this is assigned to the assessment of losses from environmental pollution, including the calculation of the cost of various negative consequences, in particular, the deterioration of human health due to polluted air, water and food. The economic assessment of losses related to environmental pollution includes additional costs to society caused by changes in the environment, the cost of restoring the environment to its previous level, and future costs to society determined by the irretrievable loss of scarce resources.
