the article is devoted to the activities of the Voronezh provincial zemstvo, aimed at helping the population and the army during the First World War, in particular, the Voronezh provincial committee for helping the wounded. The main areas of this work are considered: helping the wounded and disabled, families of those mobilized to the front, refugees, the active army and prisoners of war. It is noted that the main activity of the zemstvo was assistance to sick and wounded soldiers.
