The formation of places of memory about the Great Patriotic War began at the Voronezh Forestry Institute in 1965. During this time, the range of material resources allowing for military-patriotic and historical-educational work within the framework of civic education has significantly expanded: a permanent exhibition on the 2nd floor of the university, an exhibition in the Forestry Museum, a memorial plaque on the facade of VGFTU, a memorial complex at military burial site No. 17.
