Abstract (English):
Soil salinization caused by urbanization is one of the most serious ecological problems in many parts of the world. Vegetation and landscaping protection is the most effective and feasible biological method for improving salt marsh lands. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to select and breed varieties of both ornamental and grain crops that are resistant to salt stress and have high value. Barley (Hordeumvulgare L.) is the most salt-tolerant crop.It contains an enzyme, pyruvate carboxylase, which performs important biochemical processes such as:oxaloacetate synthesis, participation in CTC, gluconeogenesis, amino acid synthesis.Studies have shown that the effect of 150 mm of sodium chloride on barley cells caused a sharp increase in pyruvate carboxylase activity after 6 hours of the experiment and, as a result, an increase in the concentration of oxaloacetate, the most important metabolite of the tricarboxylic acid cycle.
