This work is devoted to the study of the relationship between soil conditions and the state of oak groves in the Voronezh State Nature Biosphere Reserve. A series of test plots were used to conduct an inventory of the stands, and a morphological description of the soils with their chemical analysis was obtained. It was established that the productivity and growth of oak groves are closely dependent on the type of soil, on the content of physiologically available nitrogen compounds and ash elements in them.
