The formation of protective plantings in forest-agrarian landscapes is carried out taking into account their placement in the territorial aspect, where soil and hydrological conditions and ecological and biological characteristics of species are taken into account. When creating forest reclamation objects in the agrolandscapes of the educational farm of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "Voronezh State Agrarian University named after Emperor Peter I", we mainly used English oak with the participation of pyramidal poplar, common ash, Norway maple and other species by means of a square-nest method with the placement of plants of 5.0 x 3.0 m and a classic option with the placement of 2.5 x 1.0 m. The selection of companions for English oak is of primary importance when creating forest reclamation plantations. The best options for the formation of protective biological objects are oak-maple plantations. The introduction of pyramidal poplar reduces the biometric indicators of growth and condition of English oak. In the outer rows of forest belts, the diameter has the greatest values compared to the indicators of the middle rows and the reverse process is observed in the difference in heights, which is associated with physiological growth processes. To improve the melioration functions and the condition of protective plantings at the age of 58-59 years, it is necessary to remove non-viable specimens.
