The article examines the prospects for the development of recreational zones in the cities of the Donetsk region. An analysis of existing natural resources is conducted, on the basis of which it is possible to organize recreational complexes, as well as landscape architecture objects for the recreation of the urban population. An analysis of the current system of recreational activities in Donbass allows us to draw conclusions about the need for its active development to meet modern requirements, including economic, environmental, sanitary and hygienic, functional, and architectural and landscape aspects.
