The article discusses modern technologies for the disposal of biodegradable packaging, including industrial and home composting, anaerobic digestion, fermentation and chemical degradation. A comparative analysis of the methods in terms of decomposition rate, energy efficiency and environmental friendliness has been carried out. Special attention is paid to the problems related to the lack of infrastructure, the lack of uniform standards and the high cost of processing. Promising areas of technology development are presented, such as the introduction of municipal composting programs and the use of enzyme additives. The article contains graphs and tables illustrating the key aspects of the disposal of biodegradable materials.
