Abstract (English):
The article analyzes the prospects for transforming the Russian timber industry in the context of changing global markets. It explores the shift from a raw material export model to the deep processing of logging residues, enabling the production of high value-added goods. Special attention is paid to regional opportunities in Russia, technological innovations (bioenergy, wood chemistry, digitalization), and institutional support measures. The economic efficiency of waste processing, the potential for job creation, and export opportunities in Asian, Middle Eastern, and Latin American markets are substantiated.
