The analysis of laboratory studies of the operation of the serial filtering element of the KAMAZ-740 engine air purifier with a paper filter element of serial (BFE) 740-1109560-02 type DFV 5801i made of porous stainless steel PNS–6 against air dust is presented. An analysis of the conducted studies showed that the specific dust capacity of CFPE of the DFV 5801 type is in the range of 150 g/m2, for FE made of porous stainless steel PNS–6 was 410...630 g/m2. The filter element made of porous stainless steel is 3...4 times higher in specific dust capacity than paper. It can be serviced more than once, compared to paper serial (BFE).
