Abstract and keywords

Abstract (English):
The article examines the historical development of automotive transmissions from manual gearboxes to modern hybrid systems. Special attention is paid to specialized hybrid transmissions such as Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT), which enable the integration of an internal combustion engine and an electric motor. Their design features, operating principles, and advantages over traditional solutions are analyzed. DHT is considered the next step in the evolution of transmissions in the context of the active adoption of hybrid and electric technologies.
