Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
The impact of demographic factors on the personnel situation in the Russian forestry industry is analysed. The systemic problems caused by demographic decline, staff aging, and a decrease in the attractiveness of forestry professions among young people are considered. Special attention is paid to the statistics of staff deficit, which reaches 12 thousand specialists, as well as to problems in the education system, including the decline in the quality of training and insufficient funding of universities. Regional features of the personnel crisis are explored, and possible solutions are proposed, including measures to support young specialists, technological modernization, and attracting foreign labour. The article is based on current data and reflects a comprehensive view of demographic challenges in the forestry sector.
