In the face of growing consumption and worsening environmental challenges, national economies are forced to seek more sustainable development models. The concept of a closed-loop or circular economy is currently relevant. This model of resource use is based on maximizing their utilization. As part of the national economy's commitment to carbon neutrality and the development of a circular economy, Russia developed the national project "Environmental Well-being." This national project includes a number of federal projects related to the rational use, conservation, and enhancement of natural resources. This article examines the key stages of this project's development and the planned outcomes.
