The article is devoted to a comprehensive analysis of an innovative approach to overcoming the global crisis of forest degradation. The symbiosis of two high-tech areas is considered: the creation of genetically optimized planting material and the use of autonomous robotic platforms for forest restoration. Modern breeding methods are covered, including marker-assisted selection, somatic embryogenesis and CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing, which allow obtaining seedlings with increased resistance to diseases, pests and abiotic stresses. Multilevel robotic systems are described. The need for interdisciplinary cooperation and the development of an adaptive regulatory framework to realize this potential is emphasized.
