The article discusses the opportunities and threats associated with climate risks in the context of environmental economics. The impact of climate risks is examined from the perspective of the Climate Risk Index (CRI), which is a comprehensive indicator that reflects the level of vulnerability and the impact of climate change on a territory or a country. Climate risk data forms the basis for planning adaptation measures and reducing the negative consequences of climate change.
